After the Geoffrey Johnson exhibition, we will have a lot of new and exciting shows coming to the gallery! So to get you ahead of schedule, we’ve prepared a little list along with a synopsis of each event for you to mark on your calendar!
GC MYERS SOLO EXHIBITION
Opening Reception: Friday, June 3rd 6:30PM-9:00PM
Showing for over 15 years at Principle Gallery, GC Myers will be having a solo exhibition to display all his new works. The artist will also attend the event to discuss his inspirations, techniques, and process behind the works. To have a peak before they are hung on the wall, contact the gallery to receive a digital preview!
NIADA CONFERENCE GALLERY NIGHT
Opening Reception: Thursday, July 21st 5:00PM-9:00PM
As described in an earlier post, we will be hosting a gallery exhibition for the National Institute of American Doll Artists for one very special night! The NIADA show will be part of a national conference and will display works available for purchase. Come see how the traditional craft of doll-making has expanded into new mediums and subject matter.

Live Painting Demonstration: Saturday, August 27th 1:00PM-4:00PM
Three artists. One model. Very different paintings. For this event, our featured artists will be challenged to produce a painting from the same subject during a live demonstration. We invite you to see how our artists become inspired and develop their own masterpieces in different ways.
GC MYERS ARTIST TALK
Artist Talk: Saturday, September 17th 1:00PM
What is the symbolism behind the notorious Red Tree? Where do these poetic titles come from? How are his works painted? GC Myers will be answering these questions and many more at our Artist Talk in September. And if you’re planning on attending the King Street Art Festival, make sure Principle Gallery is one of your pit stops!

Gavin Glakas, another one of our fantastic artists, will be finishing our solo exhibitions for the year! From landscapes to figurative works, Glakas will be bringing in an array of all new paintings to the gallery as well as giving a painting demonstration. ONGOING OPEN CALL FOR ENTRIES & EXHIBITION

Calling all artists for the “Root to Bloom: The Places Artists Call Home” juried exhibition! Submit works that reflect what you deem as home, whether it is your studio, the view outside your window, or a past residence. Afterwards, the gallery staff along with our featured artist, Teresa Oaxaca, will jury the show to decide which works will be showing on Friday, November 11th!
SMALL WORKS SHOW
Opening Reception: Saturday, December 3rd 1:00PM-4:00PM
The annual small works show is back again on December 3rd! Featuring artists from around the world, the exhibit will comprised of – you guessed it – small paintings. A live painting demonstration will also accompany the show, so make sure to stop by and have a look!
