Pamela Carroll
Pamela Carroll is a self-taught, realist painter. She was born in Southern, California and is currently based in Carmel, California. Her artwork embraces the traditional techniques of Realism and painting from life. The work she creates is inspired by the early Dutch and Spanish masters, and contemporary realist painters. Her primary focus is still life, but she’s also highly skilled in portraiture.
In 2006, she was selected as the White House Artist of the Year and commissioned for a series of paintings used to illustrate the First Family’s annual Christmas brochure. Pamela has illustrated seven children’s books and her artistic techniques have been featured in several publications such as the French periodical, Pratique des Arts.
