Laura E. Pritchett
Laura E. Pritchett began working as a fulltime artist at the age of sixteen, painting portraits and illustrating for publishers. Seven years later, Pritchett stepped away from commissions and focused fervently on developing her individual voice in fine art. Through this time of growth, she realized the value of photography to her painting process as it allowed her to quickly toy with composition and closely study her subjects. Pritchett has since gained a deep understanding of light and motion through the lens and began publicly sharing her photographs side-by-side with the paintings they inspired.
