France Jodoin

France Jodoin’s paintings inhabit the fleeting space between memory and imagination. Her worlds feel familiar, yet the boundaries between land, sea, and sky quietly dissolve. Architecture conceals as much as it reveals, and figures move with calm purpose and grace. Each painting carries a subtle sense of mystery, inviting viewers to wonder what has happened, what is unfolding, and what may come next.

Drawing from accumulated impressions, emotions, and distant memories, Jodoin creates atmospheric environments that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Her paintings are meditative and contemplative, offering spaces of stillness that encourage viewers to slow down and become immersed in the narrative.

France Jodoin lives and works in Cowansville, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, Canada. She has exhibited her paintings for more than 20 years in museums and galleries across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
